Eryn Cervantes

Eryn is running for California State Assembly District 12 on a platform of public safety and judicial reform. AS-12 includes all of Marin County as well as the south and west 2/3rds of Sonoma County.

A polished oak conference table neatly arranged with a thick, navy-blue policy binder labeled “Public Safety & Justice Reform,” a stainless steel pen, and a legal notepad filled with precise handwritten notes visible only as subtle lines. Behind the table, tall windows reveal a soft-focus California state capitol building under a pale blue sky. Early afternoon natural light streams in, creating clean highlights on the binder’s textured cover and soft shadows along the table’s grain. Photographic realism, shot at eye level with a slight angle toward the binder, shallow depth of field subtly blurring the exterior. The mood is professional, focused, and solutions-oriented, conveying careful preparation and serious legislative intent in a clean, modern atmosphere.

About Eryn

Eryn Cervantes was raised in Murphys, California, where she learned the value of hard work growing up on her family’s farm. Active in 4-H and athletics, she developed a strong sense of discipline and community.

In 1999, she began her career with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Over more than two decades, she rose through the ranks to become a Correctional Counselor II–Specialist at San Quentin State Prison. She has served as a crisis/hostage negotiator and worked closely with state and local justice agencies.

Eryn earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and later completed law school, earning her Juris Doctor in 2022.

After her family lost two loved ones to homicide in 2005, she became a dedicated advocate for victims’ rights and public safety. Eryn is committed to strengthening communities by supporting accountability, prevention, and effective law enforcement.

On the issues

As both a criminal justice professional and a family member of homicide victims, I understand the human cost of failed policies. I am committed to equipping law enforcement with the resources they need and advancing practical reforms that strengthen accountability, improve court outcomes, and restore public trust.

Safe communities are the foundation of opportunity and prosperity.

A meticulously organized wall of criminal justice law books in deep burgundy and dark green covers, their gold-embossed titles sharply legible, flanking a centered, framed outline map of California with highlighted districts. The shelves are rich walnut, illuminated by warm, focused track lighting from above that creates subtle reflections on the leather-like bindings. A small brass scale of justice rests on a narrow shelf beneath the map. Photographic realism, straight-on composition with symmetric framing and crisp focus throughout. The mood is authoritative and trustworthy, evoking decades of legal study and policy expertise, suited for a professional campaign website emphasizing knowledge and experience in criminal justice reform.

Core Values

Eryn Cervantes has dedicated nearly 25 years to correctional service, earned a law degree, and champions public safety, victims rights, and practical crime solutions in California.

Public Safety Solutions

A close-up, photographic image of a clean, well-maintained correctional facility control room desk, featuring a row of modern flat-screen security monitors showing abstract, blurred cell blocks and corridors, a neatly stacked incident report folder, and a digital radio resting on a non-reflective black mat. Cool, diffused overhead lighting creates gentle, even illumination with minimal glare, highlighting the matte textures of the equipment. Shot from a slightly elevated angle, with the nearest monitor in sharp focus and the rest gradually softening into the background. The atmosphere is calm, vigilant, and professional, emphasizing safety, order, and nearly 25 years of experienced correctional service without showing any people.

We advocate for evidence-based reforms, safe communities, and resources to help those transitioning from incarceration while protecting victims’ rights.

An urban California streetscape at dawn, captured in photographic realism, showing a clean sidewalk lined with newly planted trees, clearly marked crosswalks, and freshly painted curbside housing outreach signs. A temporary outreach booth stands neatly arranged with pamphlets about homelessness services and crime prevention, all legible but secondary to the environment. Soft golden morning light glows from behind mid-rise buildings, casting long, gentle shadows across the pavement and lending warmth to the scene. Shot at eye level with a wide lens for sharp detail from foreground to background. The mood is hopeful and proactive, suggesting practical, community-based solutions to homelessness and public safety concerns without any human subjects present.

Our approach blends accountability with second chances, focusing on housing, policing, and targeted programs that reduce homelessness and crime.
